Extended warranties are usually very inexpensive and can save you thousands in the future. Some can even cover extra costs that result, such as cost of food that spoils when your fridge dies. It's simple and inexpensive to purchase extended warranties and one of the smartest ways to protect your investment.

Appliances can be large, heavy, and expensive and you probably don't have the special tools or expertise needed to fix them in a crisis. If you can spare a few thousand dollars without batting an eyelash for new appliances should they break tomorrow, don't buy a warranty. Professional delivery and installation is available for every product we sell. We would be happy to coordinate delivery and installation for you.

Love the French doors!

Submitted by Simone - 8/26/2017

Our old kitchen aid was the exact size but side by side. It was 15 years old when we finally replaced it. While there's not a ton of innovation I would say we are most pleased with the wide French door opening, the interior lighting, the drawers in the freezer and the shelving line up inside the refrigerator

Beautiful Refrigerator

Submitted by Edie Ande - 3/9/2017

We purchased this unit about 6 weeks ago and so far it has worked beautifully. It looks stunning and I can't believe how much room it has inside. I don't regret our decision to buy this refrigerator at all!!

Hate it! Wish I went another route! Just terrible!

Submitted by Holly Sherman - 2/1/2017

It is just terrible! I begged my husband to get this fridge but it is horrible! The Ice maker sucks! Just try to find something in the fridge.... Let alone have room for platters. I ended up buying a old time fridge for our garage to hiouse platters and big ticket items. I have never, ever, ever regretted spending so much money for such a sub- par appliance! Do not buy this fridge. Not to mention..... All of my friends were here recently for a party and they all agreed that this fridge sucks! Wish I could take it all back and start over!

LESS THAN 2 Y/O AND REQUIRES REPAIRS

Submitted by Warning - 1/30/2017

Refrigerator was purchased in August 2015. Since then the frostless freezer has frosted over several times. The warranty covers the repairs. However in a span of 6 months the repair company has come to fix the same problem three times. This last repair happening less than a month after the last service call and requiring the same repair plus the replacement of the control panel. Kitchenaid refuses to replace the refrigerator. The refrigerator door constantly beeps when open because the refrigerator can't hold the temperature. Poor product quality, poor customer service, and poor warranty. This is not worth the almost $10,000.00 retail price.

Adequate double door fridge

Submitted by Tom - 1/6/2017

We miss the convenience of having water and ice available on the door. Ice machine location is awkward and hard to turn off and on, excess ice spills behind refrig door. Space in freezer not easily accessible, needs better way to separate items in drawer. Refrig door shelves heights not flexible enough, as adjustment spaces are limited due to bulk of shelves on door.

ultra quiet fridge!

Submitted by claire - 12/19/2016

I've had this fridge installed and working for a month now. It is the quietest fridge I have ever owned. It's very roomy. I chose it because I wanted a built-in look and a bottom freezer. It is exactly what I want and more! Highly recommended, if you are willing to spend good money on a fridge.

Great Refrigerator

Submitted by msbTexas - 11/9/2016

Remodeling my kitchen, I selected this built in refrigerator. It's a beautiful addition to the kitchen: spacious, easily accessible shelves. Challenges with the refrigerator: it is hard to keep outside looking clean and neat. The ice maker drawer is difficult to access without ice falling out.

DO NOT BUY!!!

Submitted by KitchenAid is a Disappointment - 9/29/2016

4 months old and motherboard is done and has more issues. I want the fridge replaced and KitchenAid says no as they want to have it repaired. Repair technician compared it to an engine going bad in a brand new car and recommended a new fridge over getting it repaired. If a repair shop is recommending to not repair it then you know it is bad. If I could do it all over again I would not but this fridge. If you have $9k for a fridge, get a reliable one and not a KitchenAid.

Great Appliance

Submitted by Linda the remodeler - 8/31/2016

We remodeled our entire kitchen a year ago and had this refrigerator installed. I love it. It looks beautiful and has plenty of room. It's a little inconvenient that you have to open the left door if you need something in the right drawers, but it's not a major problem.

Well equipped fridge but misses in just a few areas

Submitted by James - 8/22/2016

We had a 42" built in fridge and wanted the bottom freezer drawer, so you really are just down to looking at the Subzero ($11K), True ($16K), Jenn-Air ($9K)or this model. In that group, this model provides the best value. Things that are great are the LED lights (lots of them), air-filter and plenty of drawers to store things. Plus it's a lot larger inside the fridge. But this model has a few misses. The drawers weren't made such that the right hand drawers could open without opening the left door. The ice tray is a huge plus, but when you fill the freezer, it sometimes catches on the bottom of the ice tray. An integrated front handle would have made this easier to open. The left door tends to allow shelf items to move around, so be sure to pack your left side door shelves. Finally, we found the freezer to be a good bit smaller than our old 2/3 - 1/3 split GE monogram. We did not have the integrated ice/water opening, so our freezer had plenty of door space and shelf space, even though it was fairly slender (12" wide?). Overall, we'd still buy it again, but changing these small flaws would have really helped

Looks great in the kitchen...

Submitted by Vi - 7/1/2016

I've had this refrigerator for about 4 weeks and so far we are pretty happy. Because of the layout of our house, the French doors are a bit of a pain because the left side can hit a wall, but there isn't a one door option in the longer width. The drawers and doors closing can be a little bit of a pain because you have to have both doors open to access some of the lower drawers. Other than that, it has worked fine so far and looks really nice.

Lemon: Run Away and go for Miele

Submitted by Savedfortenyears - 6/17/2016

Installers left before it was working. They said give it 1-2 hours before it will be cool. I ended up losing my entire contents of my frig. 7 more hours of service calls. Holding for help on KitchenAid. Still not working. KitchenAid hasn't called back as promised. I now have to look for legal remedies. Very disappointed. Is this service for a $10,000 appliance? No thanks. BBB beware.

Form over function

Submitted by dishpanhandless - 9/16/2015

Great looking and operates as expected and quiet. However, I wouldn't purchase a French door fridge again. Having to coordinate the two doors and the inside drawers is a pain. I would go back to a side-by-side or standard bottom freezer next time.

Nothing but problems

Submitted by Neil - 9/12/2015

I purchased four major KitchenAid appliances in the last few years and had problems with three. A dishwasher leaked and damaged my basement ceiling, now my new refrigerator / freezer is leaking and frosting over. I am done purchasing this brand.

Waited 8 months on replacement and it WASN'T as shown.

Submitted by Merle - 7/28/2015

This product is a replacement for a refrigerator I had purchased for a kitchen remodel. The actual product I previously had much more quality features than this replacement. Although it is a nice built in model that fit my cabinet specs...I was quite disappointed in the fewer features and the cheaper quality finishing. These handles are not as shown and do not match the kitchen package I own complete with 3 dishwashers, microwave, double oven warming drawer and ice maker:( I should have been informed. Also, we were WITHOUT A REFRIGERATOR FROM NOVEMBER-JULY...WOW... VERY DIFFICULT TO GET A RESOLUTION.
